Recently checked out Google trends, check it out for yourself. Only thing I wish it had RSS feeds!

Clicky Web Analytics is the best tracking statistic counter I’ve ever used online. The reason I like this over Google’s Analytics is because Clicky displays the user info ip address, op system etc etc… The admin panel is super easy to control! I like the name Clicky, It’s kind of like Zippy (DaveN’s search engine), and my name Nicky lol .

What needs to be done on this site to increase conversion, rankings, and hype:

1) You need a better design and layout. Get a nice web 2.0 looking site. Have an image button of “Sell your textbooks” that stands out more, make it a color that will stand out, red is usually a good color…

2) Take out TEXTBOOKBUYER.com on the title of your site. People don’t care about the URL of the site in the title. A good title would be something like this: “Sell your college Textbooks online - New and Used accepted”

3) Take this content on the homepage and start turning some of those keywords that are in there and start making some text links pointing to content pages:
“Sell used textbooks: we pay special prices for new college textbooks too! Our buyback buys new and used college textbooks, complimentary copies, desk review copies, instructors’ editions, and study guides. We buy nearly all current edition textbooks, whether they are new or used. Our online price quotes even show a separate new and used price for each book. We also welcome large quantities from independent bookbuyers — please contact us.”

4) You need more backlinks, you only have 100 in Yahoo, 4 in Google and the 4 that are in google are from 1 domain: http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=link%3Ahttp://www.textbookbuyer.com/+-site%3Atextbookbuyer.com&ei=UTF-8&fr=moz2&x=wrt.
Your top 10 competition has anywhere from 50 backlinks - 8,000 backlinks.

5) You definitely need more content pages on your site. You only have 20 pages indexed in G (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=site%3Atextbookbuyer.com&btnG=Search) and 15 in Y! (http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=textbookbuyer.com&bwm=p&bwms=p&fr=moz2&fr2=seo-rd-se).

These changes will for sure jump start your Search Marketing Campaign.

Do you have a site that is banned in MSN?

All you have to do is just move to a new ip address and a new name server. This usually works 80% if the time. If MSN tries to deny you. It worked on well over 100 sites for me.

And yes I know my site is banned…. lol
